This tool compares figures you enter; it doesn't fetch live fares or fee schedules. Airline charges vary by route, bag size, time of booking and how you pay — always use the airline's own quote for the most accurate comparison.

The add-ons that flip the deal

Low-cost airlines make the headline fare as low as possible and charge separately for the rest. Add a few of these and the "cheap" flight often isn't:

  • Checked and cabin bags — frequently the biggest extra, and pricier if you add them after booking or at the airport.
  • Seat selection and priority boarding — optional, but families and groups often feel pushed into them.
  • Airport transfers — a "cheaper" airport that's far from the city can cost more once you factor in the train or taxi.
  • Payment and admin fees — some fares cost more depending on the card you use.
